Shreyanka Patil, a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer, received a marriage proposal from a fan at the Chinnaswamy Stadium during Tuesday’s WPL 2024 match against the Gujarat Giants. During the seventh over of the RCB innings, the camera caught a supporter holding a sign that read “Will you marry me Shreyanka Patil”. The RCB players could not resist their reaction to the incident, as they were spotted smiling. RCB went on to win by eight wickets.
In the meantime, Gujarat Giants were easily defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) thanks to the blitzkrieg of Smriti Mandhana and Sabbhineni Meghana.
In pursuit of a 108-run objective, Mandhana and Sophie Devine entered the field for the Bengaluru-based team. Before Ashleigh Gardner dismissed the Kiwi batting all-rounder in the game’s fourth over, Mandhana and Devina shared a 32-run partnership. Devine hit one four with a strike rate of 100.00 and managed just six runs from six innings.
Sabbhineni Meghana and Ellyse Perry grabbed control of the game after both openers were dismissed, and they did not let the hosts down. In order to successfully pursue the 108-run knock, Meghana and Perry played an undefeated knock through to the end.
Meghana struck for 36 runs at a strike rate of 128.57 off of 28 balls. In the second inning, she hit one six and five fours. A second straight victory in the T20 tournament was secured by Perry, who struck four fours and helped RCB to a score of 110/2.
