Woh thoda sa fashion mein lag gaya
A former cricket player from Pakistan has accused Ishan of being the reason behind his own failure, claiming that he became distracted with fashion.
Ishan Kishan, who was a member of the Indian cricket team for the ODI World Cup last year, has now dropped significantly in the rankings, and his prospects of returning to the Indian side are dwindling with each passing series. Kishan, one of the few players to achieve a double century in one-day internationals, was selected for the ODI World Cup team and traveled with the Indian team throughout last year, but he was not included in the starting lineup for the duration of the competition.Travel fatigue forced the wicketkeeper batter to make the audacious decision to withdraw his name midway through last year’s South Africa trip, which did not sit well with the BCCI management. In short, he was left out of the plan and off the core contract list.Basit Ali, a former cricket player for Pakistan, claimed that Ishan’s fall from grace was caused by his dalliance with fashion. The status of Ishan Kishan has declined. “He too became a little bit involved in fashion, woh bhi thoda sa fashion mein lag gaya tha,” Basit posted on his YouTube page.
With the victory in the Twenty20 World Cup, India has entered a transitional phase as the management searches for fresh players to step into the enormous shoes left by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the shortest format. Nevertheless, Kishan was once again overlooked by the selectors for the upcoming white-ball tour to Sri Lanka.
In the meantime, Basit took a hard line at the Sri Lankan cricket squad for their lackluster performance in the opening two Twenty20 Internationals against India. Men’s cricket players from Sri Lanka have also been struggling since they were unable to secure a spot in the forthcoming Champions Trophy.
