Pravin Amre, DC’s assistant coach, believes his team will perform well in their last group-stage game against LSG. Amre has stated that the team missed Rishabh Pant’s contributions in the previous game.
DC captain Rishabh Pant will return for the team’s last group-stage match in the Indian Premier League. Pant, who was punished by the IPL for the team’s most recent match against RCB, was enraged when his suspension was announced late. Pant was suspended for a gave owing to an over-rate offense in the match against RR.
Prior to the team’s last group-stage match against LSG on Tuesday, May 14, assistant coach Pravin Amre of DC stated that Pant’s return will be a major help to the squad, which still has a chance to make the Indian Premier League 2024 playoffs. With 12 points from 13 games thus far, DC may make the playoffs based on net run rate if they win their upcoming game.
“With the way he is performing this year, he is the highest run gutter overall, but regulations are regulations. The ruling (against RCB) caused us to miss him. Before the LSG game, Amre told ANI, “It affected our batting line up. Sure, he will be there tomorrow, and we will finish well.”
Amre expressed his disapproval of the run-fest in majority of the matches during his analysis of the 2024 event.
“My sense is that the IPL’s governing board will investigate. Important to note is that teams hitting 500 runs in a Twenty20 match was unexpected by the spectators. In the IPL, that occurred. The assistant coach continued, “Therefore, the committee will determine what is better for the IPL.”
With RCB and LSG tied for sixth place in the points table, DC is comfortably ahead of them. The majority of KL Rahul’s LSG’s tournament chances will be lost in a defeat to DC.
