Rohit Sharma scored another Test century at home, and his wife Ritika Sajdeh had a modest request from him.

Ritika Sajdeh, the wife of Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, has a habit of crossing her fingers when her husband is on the field. She has been doing so since the couple married in December of 2015. Fans have seen it numerous times when Ritika comes to watch her husband play at the stadium and keeps her fingers crossed while the cricketer is batting.

Ritika shared a photo of Rohit celebrating his century with the caption, “I love you but send replacement fingers, please.” Ritika’s story sparked an outpouring of emotion on social media. Fans will be hoping that Ritika’s beliefs help Rohit once more as India looks to pile on the runs on Day 3 of the first Test between India and Australia at Nagpur’s VCA Stadium.

On Day 1, India batted with more than 90 minutes remaining. Rohit Sharma hammered Australia’s skipper Pat Cummins for three fours in his first over. Sharma and Kl Rahul put on a crucial 76-run stand. On Day 1, Rohit completed his fifty and appeared at ease at stumps.

On Day 2 of the first Test, Rohit Sharma became the first player in the series to score a century. He attacked right away and ignored the good deliveries. He appeared to be in great shape and poised for a big day.

Other batters took their time against a difficult wicket where scoring runs was difficult. The Indian batting line-leaders, up’s Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara, took their time but were unable to capitalise on their strong start. The debutants KS Bharat and Suryakumar Yadav were unable to capitalise on their opportunity.
