In the third and final One-Day International, Sri Lankan cricket captain Charith Asalanka won the toss for the third time in a row and chose to bat.

On Wednesday, in the third and final one-day international versus India, Sri Lankan cricket captain Charith Asalanka won the toss for the third time in a row and chose to bat.
1-0 in the series, Sri Lanka is ahead. The opening game ended in an exciting draw last Friday, but leg spinner Jeffrey Vandersay claimed a career-high six wickets to lead the home team to victory on Sunday by a margin of 32 runs. With a bilateral ODI series victory over India, Sri Lanka hopes to break a 27-year wait.

India improved its batting lineup by giving Riyan Parag his ODI debut and bringing in Rishabh Pant. Parag is now India’s 256th ODI cap. He got his cap from Virat Kohli. He is the first male cricketer from Assam to make his ODI debut for India.
Arshdeep Singh and Lokesh Rahul pulled out. Parag would also provide India with an additional option in the spin department.
“We’ve been challenged in the last two games, so we know where we stand and what we need to do with the ball and the bat,” India captain Rohit Sharma said.
Sri Lanka made only one change, replacing Akila Dananjaya with Maheesh Theekshana.
