Rohit Sharma Injury Concerns for India Ahead of Fourth Test in Melbourne: Report

Prior to the Melbourne Test match against Australia, India skipper Rohit Sharma was reportedly struck in the knee during a nets practice.

Days before the start of the 4th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Melbourne, Team India faced a serious injury scare when captain Rohit Sharma was seen sitting on a chair with his gear off and his left knee strapped. Although the blow didn’t appear serious at first, the physiotherapists will probably keep a close eye on his condition before the MCG match.

According to a report in some news reports, all members of the Indian team took part in the nets session, with star pacer Jasprit Bumrah bowling full steam. Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep also amazed everyone with their performances, and Virat Kohli, who hasn’t been playing well lately, took on side-armers and spinners like Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. The Indian team will take Monday off but will start training again as the match in Melbourne approaches.Since the team’s top spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, decided to hang up his boots following the Brisbane Test, many believe that Rohit may retire from Test cricket in the coming months due to his own struggles to reach his best form, particularly when batting at number six.
