Arshdeep Singh was allegedly receiving reverse swing as a result of some “serious work” on the ball during the T20 World Cup, according to Inzamam Ul Haq.

Pakistani legend Inzamam ul Haq made a very strong statement that went viral ahead of the India vs. England T20 World Cup semi-final. Arshdeep Singh, a pace bowler for the Indian cricket team, was his target. The former captain of Pakistan asserted that Singh was experiencing reverse swing as a result of some “serious work” on the ball. He was alluding to the fact that Arshdeep was unfairly tampering with the ball, which is a crime according to the ICC.

Inzamam, who spoke to a Pakistani TV channel, claimed that Arshdeep and the Indian team worked too hard on the ball, enabling the lanky pacer to produce a reverse swing during his second stint.

“It was reverse swinging when Arshdeep bowled the 15th over. With the new ball, is that too early? This indicates that the ball was prepared and capable of reversing by the twelfth or thirteenth over. In the fifteenth, it was swinging backwards. Umpires should remain vigilant, Inzamam said to the news channel.

Inzamam went on to say, “There would have been a stir if Pakistani bowlers had done this. We are rather skilled at reversing it. There has been some significant work done on the ball if Arshdeep is able to reverse it in the fifteenth.

If Bumrah does that—which you can understand—then that is how he acts. “It indicates that the ball has been prepared differently when others with a particular action or speed do it,” Inzamam continued.

When questioned about Inzamam’s remark made during this pre-match media session, Rohit told the former batter to keep an open mind.

“Abhi kya jawab du iska mein bhai (what answer should I give, brother). Wickets are so dry (here) as you are playing in a sunny weather. All teams are getting reverse (swing). Sometimes dimaag ko kholna zaroori hai (Need to open your mind). You need to understand what the conditions are. This is not Australia or England. That’s what I will say,”

In response to Inzamam’s observation, Rohit stated.

Left-arm bowler Arshdeep Singh took three wickets to stop the Kangaroos’ charge in the chase of 205 as India overcame 2021 T20 World Cup champions Australia by 24 runs in Gros Islet on Monday to set up a semifinal match against England.
After scoring 205 when batting first, India held Australia to 181/7.
With eight wickets remaining and 81 runs needed in eight overs, Australia was in the game. However, Arshdeep’s second spell—which saw him take two wickets in the 16th and 18th overs—saw them lose the plot.
