Sachithra Senanayake, a former Sri Lanka cricketer, was arrested on Wednesday for fixing allegations.
Senanayake was accused of attempting to manipulate games in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) for the 2020 season, and of enticing two players to do so.
Between 2012 and 2016, the 38-year-old played a single Test, 49 ODIs, and 24 T20 internationals. In addition, he appeared in eight IPL 2023 matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
