Cristiano Ronaldo has played for Manchester United primarily as a substitute so far this season, but Fernando Santos, the coach of Portugal, insists that he is still a crucial player for the club.
For the Nations League games against the Czech Republic on September 24 and Spain three days later, Ronaldo was called up to the Portugal team on Thursday.
Santos stated, I have zero concerns about Ronaldo’s lack of playing time for Manchester United.
Like every athlete, I have to determine his circumstances first. But I don’t believe anyone disputes the fact that Ronaldo remains crucial to the national team.
