Saurashtra win by 9 wickets – Saurashtra defeated Bengal by 9 wickets to claim their second Ranii Trophy title. Saurashtra needed only 12 runs to win the Ranji Trophy final, and despite losing a wicket, Jaydev Unadkat’s team had no trouble chasing down the small target.
Earlier on Day 2, Vasavada and Chirag Jani put on a 100-run partnership, giving Saurashtra a 143-run lead in the first innings. Wicketkeeper Harvik Desai scored a fifty and appeared to be on his way to a big score. Mukesh Kumar, on the other hand, trapped him in front of the stumps. Ishan Porel dismissed overnight batsman Chetan Sakariya after he only managed 8 runs. Sheldon Jackson and Vasavada helped Saurashtra’s innings by forming an excellent partnership.
