Mohammad Haris, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, has been rested for the five-match Twenty20 International series against New Zealand, while spinner Shadab Khan has an ankle ailment.

Mohammad Haris, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, has been rested for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, while spinner Shadab Khan has been ruled out due to an ankle injury. Pakistan’s top selector, Wahab Riaz, confirmed Shadab’s injury and stated that he will require at least “two weeks of rehab” before being available. Haris was rested, according to Riaz, because “we want to use our pool of players” in the upcoming series. Pakistan’s chief selector also stated that injured pacer Naseem Shah had recovered. He was not chosen, however, since they did not want to overburden the 20-year-old fast.

“Shadab is a vital member of Pakistan’s T20 squad and a white-ball specialist.” Unfortunately, he was hurt during the season, twisting his ankle, which will require another two weeks of rehabilitation. After that, he’ll be eligible to bowl. “We saw Harris’ capability and since he’s part of our plans going forward, we want to use our pool of players,” Wahab Riaz was quoted as saying by news sources

“Ihsanullah, Shadab, Mohammad Hasnain, and Naseem Shah were all ineligible.” The good news is that Hasnain and Naseem have recovered. Naseem is currently receiving rehabilitation at the cricket academy, and we don’t want to overburden him, so he will be available for the PSL next year.Mohammad Haris, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, has been rested for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, while spinner Shadab Khan has an ankle ailment.
