Pakistan’s speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi stated that the country is very close to taking home the T20 World Cup trophy. He supported his remarks with examples from Lahore Qalandars’ PSL campaign.
According to Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan has a good possibility of winning the T20 World Cup in 2024, which will take place in the USA and the Caribbean. Pakistan has failed to hold the trophy despite winning the championship in 2009. They participated in the 2021 edition’s semi-final and the 2022 final, but in the crucial moments, they lost their composure.
According to the speedster, Pakistan will gain from the players’ and the team management’s dedication. He gave the example of Lahore Qalandars, who placed last in the first four PSL seasons before winning the league championships in 2022 and 2023.
“Putting up the effort and not getting the desired results is not conceivable. Just like Lahore Qalandars, who worked really hard for six years in the PSL.
