Shikhar Dhawan and actor Akshay Kumar attended a Bhasma Aarti for Lord Shiva at the Mahakal temple on his 56th birthday. The ‘Oh My God’ star was seen with his family, including his sister, but the left-handed opener was seen sitting alone in the hallway.
On his 56th birthday, Bollywood star Akshay Kiumar unexpectedly travelled to Madhya Pradesh’s Mahakaleshwar Temple to make a prayer offering.
The ‘Oh My God 2’ star, who played the part of Lord Shiva’s messenger, was joined for a ‘Aarti’ by cricketer Shaikhar Dhawan in addition to his son, Aarav, sister, Alka Hiranandani, and niece, Simar.
During the renowned “Bhasma Aarti,” the star-studded crowd reportedly sat in the Nandi Hall of the Ujjain temple, also known as Mahakal Lok.
According to Ashish Sharma, a Mahakal priest, Akshay Kumar was greatly fascinated by Lord Shiva and the temple when he last visited it in October 2021.
Shikhar Dhawan later stated in a news conference that he had prayed for the Indian Cricket team to defeat Pakistan in their forthcoming Asia Cup 2023 match on Sunday.
In response, Akshay Kumar humorously joked that the cricketer had just expressed a desire for a “small” item and that a deity like Mahakal should instead be called for more important issues like the advancement of the nation.
