Ten young athletes from Tamil Nadu received Rs. 70,000 apiece from India and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shivam Dube at the Tamil Nadu Sports Journalists’ Association (TNSJA) Awards and Scholarships on Tuesday. At the event, where a number of young athletes from the state received recognition for their accomplishments and a Rs. 30,000 scholarship from TNSJA, the 31-year-old was the main guest.
Jayant RK (cricket), PB Abhinandh (table tennis), KS Vhenisa Sree (archery), Muthumeena Vellasami (para athletics), Shameena Riaz (squash), S Nandhana (cricket), Kamali P (surfing), R Abinaya (athletics), RC Jithin Arjunan (athletics), and A Takkshanth (chess) are among the young talents who were acknowledged.”This event is truly encouraging for all the young athletes,” Dube said, speaking to the crowd before to revealing his donation. These minor triumphs give them the additional drive to work even harder and honor the country. I appreciate the invitation very much. I’m not sure about other states, but I have seen such activities in Mumbai. I will definitely push for similar initiatives in other places. Even though Rs. 30,000 might not seem like much, it is a motivating sum. When you’re young, every dollar and every prize counts.
