Shreyas Iyer of India continues to break records and maintain an unreal level of consistency, becoming the fastest Indian batter to reach 1,500 runs in ODI cricket. Iyer accomplished this feat during India’s second One-Day International against Bangladesh on Wednesday in Dhaka. The stylish batter continued his golden run, scoring 82 off 102 balls with six fours and three sixes at an 80.39 strike rate. Though India lost by five runs, his knock and consistency were positives for the Men in Blue.
Iyer has now scored 1,534 runs at an average of 49.48 in 38 matches and 34 innings. In his ODI career, he has two centuries and 14 half-centuries, with a best score of 113*.
