Before the IPL 2024 final versus SRH, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer demonstrated his bowling prowess by mimicking Sunil Narine’s motion in the nets.
Shreyas Iyer of KKR demonstrated his bowling abilities by imitating his star player Sunil Narine’s bowling action in the nets ahead of the IPL 2024 final. KKR, who had a tremendous season, advanced to the IPL 2024 final by defeating SRH in Qualifier 1. They would face Hyderabad again in Chennai on May 26 in the summit showdown as they seek their third crown.Shreyas had previously rolled his arm as a part-time bowler for India. In Test cricket, he has only bowled six balls. He has also attempted to bowl in white-ball cricket but has had little success. Shreyas has only bowled one over in the IPL, and that was in the 2022 season.
After missing the 2023 season due to injury, Shreyas returned as KKR’s captain for the IPL 2024 and has led the team from the front. Shreyas’ leadership abilities have received high accolades as he steered KKR to a top-of-the-table finish and, eventually, to the final.
Shane Watson praised Shreyas’ captaincy, believing that the Indian batsman had helped the men around him grow. Shreyas has also scored 345 runs in 13 matches, with an average of 38.33.
Narine has possibly been the most valuable player in this season’s IPL, as he has excelled with both bat and ball for KKR. Narine has scored 482 runs in 14 matches and taken 16 wickets for Kolkata as they advanced to the final.
Both men will be critical for KKR as they seek their third IPL title.
