In the final T20I against New Zealand, the flamboyant right-hander finished with the highest individual score in T20Is for India.

Team India scored 234 runs against New Zealand in the third and final T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, thanks to a magnificent unbeaten century by opener Shubman Gill. The Men in Blue have locked horns with the visitors, with both sides hoping to win the series decider in the final T20I.

Having chosen to bat first, the early dismissal of Ishan Kishan did not prevent the rest of the batting unit from scoring big runs. Rahul Tripathi, who joined Shubman Gill after Kishan was fired, hit the ground running and pushed the boundaries on numerous occasions.

After settling in a little, Gill shifted gears and propelled India to a big score with his blitzkrieg. After reaching 70-odd runs, the batter immediately picked up and began hammering back-to-back maximums, quickly reaching his century. In the final T20I, the flamboyant right-hander hit his maiden T20I century in just 54 balls against the Kiwis. Notably, Gill’s unbeaten 126-run knock is India’s highest individual score in T20Is, surpassing Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
