The 34-year-old pacer played on Virat Kohli’s India team, which won the 2008 Under-19 World Cup.

On Thursday, Indian fast bowler Siddarth Kaul declared his retirement from Indian cricket. The 34-year-old right-arm pacer announced his plans and included a brief note in a social media video.

Siddarth played for Virat Kohli’s India team, which won the 2008 Under-19 World Cup.

The pacer’s early career was marred by injuries, as he only played in all six domestic matches across formats between December 2007 and February 2012, despite displaying promise in age group cricket. He had signs of increased fitness in 2012, and the following season he finally settled into a routine. As Punjab’s attack flourished, Kaul’s hit-the-deck hustle served as the perfect counterpoint to Sandeep Sharma’s swing.

In the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Sunrisers Hyderabad selected him, and he was a key member of the team the following year.

He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for India against Ireland on 29 June 2018 and made his One Day International (ODI) debut against England on 12 July 2018.

Siddarth played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru following his time with SRH. He was released by the RCB prior to the 2024 IPL season and did not sell at auction.
