India dominated Australia in the first two Tests and easily retained the coveted Trophy for the second time. They currently hold a 2-0 lead in the four-match Test series. Australia was completely outplayed in both Tests in every department, and the humiliating defeats drew a lot of criticism.
“I see 4-0. It will be difficult for Australia to defeat India. In these circumstances, we are a far superior team.”
The former southpaw appeared to be extremely confident in his bold prediction that India would easily win the series over Australia. He believed that in subcontinental conditions, India was a far superior team, and that given the condition of the current Australian squad touring India for this series, it was an absolute no-brainer that India would win the remaining two Tests and sweep Australia.
