South Africa names its World Cup squad for 2023, with Bavuma as captain

South Africa will be led by Temba Bavuma, and right-arm bowler Gerald Coetzee, who made his international debut earlier this year, has been included in the squad.

South Africa has chosen their 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India in 2023. The roster was announced on Tuesday afternoon, just hours after India declared their squad for the major event.

South Africa will be led by Temba Bavuma, while the selection committee has included right-arm bowler Gerald Coetzee, who made his international debut earlier this year.

Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Rassie van der Dussen are among the veteran batsmen on the team.

Kagiso Rabada will head the bowling attack, which will also include Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi. The spin section is completed by Keshav Maharj and Tarbariz Shamshi.
