Due to an injury sustained while fielding during Wednesday’s sessions, Nuwan Thushara will miss the Twenty20 International series against India.
Taking eight wickets in three matches, Thushara was one of Sri Lanka’s finest bowlers at the T20 World Cup 2024.
After Dushmantha Chameera’s illness-related withdrawal from the series, he became the second fast bowler from Sri Lanka to be ruled out. On Wednesday, it was revealed that Asitha Fernando will take Chameera’s place.
This Saturday is the first Twenty20 International between India and Sri Lanka.
