With a four-wicket victory over Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) finished the Indian Premier League (IPL) league stage with 17 points.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Punjab Kings by four wickets to finish the league stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with 17 points. Chasing a challenging target of 215, SRH won with five balls to spare, owing to an outstanding effort by opener Abhishek Sharma, who hit 66 off 28 balls, including six sixes and five fours.

In addition to Sharma’s fast start, SRH’s chase was helped by important contributions from Rahul Tripathi (33), Nitish Reddy (37), and Heinrich Klaasen (42). Their combined efforts ensured that SRH maintained momentum throughout the innings, eventually earning the victory in 19.1 overs.

Earlier in the match, Punjab Kings set a difficult target of 214/5, helped by Prabhsimran Singh’s quick 71. Singh’s knock of seven sixes and four fours required only 45 balls. He was joined by opener Atharva Taide, who hit 46 from 27 balls, including five fours and two sixes. Singh and Taide added 97 runs in just 55 balls, laying the groundwork for Punjab’s innings.

Rilee Rossouw made a huge contribution with a quickfire 49 off 24 balls, striking four sixes and three fours. Stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma supplied late pyrotechnics, batting an unbeaten 32 to help Punjab finish on 214/5 in 20 overs. Despite these efforts, Punjab’s score was unable to match SRH’s aggressive chase.
