Mumbai Indians managed to chase down RCB’s 197-run mark in only 15.3 overs thanks to a stunning 19-ball 52 from Suryakumar Yadav, which featured five fours and four sixes.

Mumbai In just his second game of the season, Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav returned to form, smashing a blazing fifty against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Surya once again demonstrated why he is referred to be the modern Mr. 360 in the T20 cricket game by hitting the ball all over the field. In addition to being the top batter in the world in the shortest format, Suryakumar credited “muscle memory” and consistent net practice for his daring repertoire of strokes against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Suryakumar stunned with a 19-ball 52 that included four sixes and five fours to help Mumbai Indians reach RCB’s 197-run total in just 15.3 overs.

“I only try to play the field. I practise these shots. “It is in my muscle memory,” Suryakumar stated following MI’s seven-wicket IPL victory on Thursday night.

When asked about his favourite shot in the match against RCB, he replied, “I think all of them. The slice over point was my favourite.” Suryakumar was participating in his second IPL match after recovering from sports hernia surgery.

“It’s always great to be back in Wankhede. It was amazing to join the squad. I was here mentally, but physically in Bangalore (for NCA recuperation).

“Coming into Wankhede, chasing 200, if there is dew, it is vital to take a risk. “We wanted to finish early for the net run rate,” the 33-year-old explained.

Suryakumar responded, “It’s always good to have Jasprit by your side,” when asked about Jasprit Bumrah’s five-wicket haul. Never batted Jasprit in the nets in the past two to three years. Either my foot breaks or he smashes my bat.” He stated, “That’s what we have told him,” in reference to Ishan Kishan, who scored 69 off just 34 balls. Simply leave and have fun. He’s had very good intentions. He’s savoring the fruits.” In a subsequent interview with “JioCinema,” Suryakumar stated that he would always want to alter the direction of the game when he batted.

Given that I have rehearsed every shot at the nets, I consider the ones I play before. I make an effort to bat the ball in accordance with the current state of play. In the event that the game is lagging, I consider ways to make it move more quickly.

“Whenever I go into bat, I always try to see how I can change the game and how I can control it with my abilities,” he explained.

“I think the train was always on track, it just took a while to get going,” he stated in regards to MI’s performance thus far. We have reestablished our rhythm and will return, so it’s alright.

I’m thrilled to have won two straight games at the Wankhede. It has raised our level of confidence and enhanced the culture within the squad.” When Suryakumar is batting at his peak, former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson stated that the sky is the limit for him.

“He just lets loose when his mind is free. When he’s hitting like that, the possibilities are endless for him. Watson remarked, “He can and does hit them all over the ground.”

“Nobody can bowl anywhere when he’s in the kind of form he displayed tonight, terrible bowlers. In addition to having amazing field awareness, he possesses amazing ball manipulation skills that allow him to find gap opportunities. Having him is a huge blessing for the Mumbai Indians.
