Suryakumar Yadav currently ranks alongside Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell as the T20I cricketer with the most tons.
Leading Indian batsman and temporary Twenty20 captain Suryakumar Yadav broke the record for most Twenty20I hundreds on Thursday after smashing his fourth century, matching that of fellow countryman Rohit Sharma and Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. This achievement was made by Suryakumar during India’s third and final Twenty20 International match in Johannesburg against South Africa. With a century in 56 balls, the Indian captain extended his amazing T20I run. His runs came at a strike rate of 178.57, and his knock included seven fours and eight sixes.
While Suryakumar became the fastest player to reach four centuries in T20I history, Rohit and Maxwell both have four hundreds.
In terms of men’s T20I centuries from third position or lower, Suryakumar holds the record for most. Maxwell has hit three century from number three or below in his career.
After smashing 15 fifty-plus scores while batting number four or below in just 39 innings, the Indian T20I sensation has surpassed former English captain Eoin Morgan to hold the record. Morgan batted at number four or lower and scored fourteen fifty-plus scores in 105 innings.
At just 57 innings, Suryakumar has amassed 123 runs, surpassing even Virat Kohli as the Indian player with the second-most T20I sixes. At the T20I level, Rohit Sharma leads all Indian six-hitters with 182 maximums in 140 innings. Throughout 107 innings, Virat hit 117 sixes.
Suryakumar Yadav has amassed 2,141 runs at an average of 45.55 and a strike rate of 171.55 in just 60 Twenty20 Internationals. With a top score of 117, he has amassed four hundreds and seventeen fifty-score runs in 57 innings. He has scored four T20I tons the quickest.
Suryakumar has participated in 18 Twenty20 Internationals this year, scoring 733 runs at an average of 48.86 and more than 155 strikes per game. With a best score of 112*, he has amassed two hundreds and five fifties.
