Suryakumar Yadav, Mumbai Indians’ (MI) middle-order batsman, will miss the team’s opener against the Gujarat Titans.
Suryakumar Yadav, who is recovering, has handed a blow to the Mumbai Indians. This means the middle-order batsman will miss MI’s first IPL 2024 match against GT. Cricbuzz reports that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has yet to approve SKY’s participation in the IPL.According to the report, Suryakumar took a fitness test on Tuesday. However, the NCA’s management has refused to provide him clearance. Thus, before SKY could return, he would have to wait for more.SKY joined NCA for rehab last week and may need at least two weeks to regain full fitness. Given his importance to India’s ambitions for the T20 World Cup 2024, the BCCI isn’t pushing his return.
