The Rohit Sharma-led side defeated South Africa in the final to clinch the title but it was a bittersweet moment for Indian cricket as shortly after the victory, the trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20I cricket. However, the celebrations were huge for the side and they finally landed in New Delhi early in the morning on Thursday after getting stuck in Barbados due to bad weather.The Indian cricket team members went to PM Modi’s residence and stayed until 1 PM, during which time they had a free-flowing talk with PM Modi. Suryakumar Yadav was there at the meeting as a member of the Indian cricket team, and the top batter’s 7-year-old social media post on X (Twitter) has reappeared as the entire country celebrates the triumph.
