After suffering a severe heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League game, former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal is currently being monitored at a hospital in Savar.

After suffering a severe heart attack during a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match, former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal was taken to a hospital in Savar, which is outside of the capital city of Dhaka. His condition was deemed “critical” by the local media, who stated that he required life support.

At a nearby hospital, where he had preliminary examinations, mild cardiac problems were detected. He was taken to Dhaka, but he had to be hurried back after experiencing excruciating chest discomfort on the way to the helipad. Later, medical studies verified that it was a huge heart attack, according to Bangladesh Cricket Board chief physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury.

We are all going through a challenging moment. At the moment, he is being monitored, and the medical staff is making every effort to help him recover,” Chowdhury continued.

Tamim’s chest ached while he was playing in a match between Shinepukur Cricket Club and Mohammedan Sporting Club in Savar. He could not be flown from the BKSP ground, therefore the authorities first planned to airlift him to Dhaka by helicopter. Instead, he was transferred to Fazilatunnesa Hospital.Since quitting international cricket in January, Tamim has been participating in local matches and providing analysis. “I haven’t played international cricket in a long time, and I won’t be getting back in.” In his Facebook retirement message, Tamim stated, “My chapter in international cricket is over.” “I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I don’t want the team’s focus to be disturbed by conversations about me because the Champions Trophy is coming up. Despite what the media occasionally implied, I left the national contract long ago for this reason,” he continued.”These conversations are pointless for someone who hasn’t had a BCB contract for a year. Every cricket player has the right to choose their own path in life, and I’ve given it careful thought. I feel like the time has come now. In addition to speaking with the selection panel, Captain Nazmul Hossain honestly asked me to come back. “I’m glad they think I’m still capable, but I went with my gut,” he continued.
