Full-member teams from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are competing in the 15-match competition; Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, and Nepal will also be represented.

Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia are in Group B, while Pakistan, India, Nepal, and the UAE are in Group A. On July 26, the top two teams from each group will compete in the semi-finals.

The championship match is scheduled for July 28 in Dambulla.

Team India has had great success on the field leading up to the Women’s Asia Cup. They defeated South Africa 3-0 in the ODI series and in a one-off Test match played in June and July, and they drew the three-match T20I series 1-1, with one game being canceled due to rain.

Prior to that, India enjoyed a triumphant T20I tour to Bangladesh, winning five matches there in April and May.

India hosted Australia for three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in December and January of last year. While winning the Test match, India lost the ODI series 0-3 and the T20I series 1-2.

India’s preparations for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which takes place in Bangladesh this October 3–20, will be greatly aided by these series and tournaments. India will be competing for its first-ever major ICC women’s trophy.
