Before KKR versus. CSK in the 2024 Indian Premier League, Gautam Gambhir praised MS Dhoni as the greatest captain India has ever had.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, fans will be focusing on the match between MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) prepare for a matchup versus Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The two IPL clubs have benefited greatly from the years of superb play by the two cricketing icons. Gambhir and Dhoni, however, square off in distinct roles on Monday. Although Dhoni remains a key player for CSK, Gambhir will be coaching KKR, a side he previously guided to two IPL championships.
In a video released by Star Sports ahead of the crucial IPL match, Gambhir was heard praising Dhoni and referring to him as the most successful captain India has ever had.
“I was hoping to prevail. My thoughts are crystal clear. Friendships and respect for one another will always exist. However, I am leading KKR and he is leading CSK when you are in the middle. He is likely to respond with the same response if you ask him. It is all about coming out on top. Without a doubt, MS is India’s most successful skipper to date. Win three ICC trophies? I don’t think anyone can accomplish it,” Gambhir told Star Sports.

Video of Gambhir praising Dhoni and labelling him the most successful captain India has ever had was released by Star Sports before of the major IPL matchup.
“I desired to triumph. My thinking is quite clear. All that remains are friends and respect for one another. However, I will be captaining KKR and he will be captaining CSK while you are in the middle. He’ll most likely respond the same way if you ask him. It’s all about taking the victory. There’s no denying that MS is India’s most successful skipper ever. Gambhir told Star Sports, “I don’t think anyone can reach that level – winning three ICC trophies.”
“MS was in the middle of the game, and he could finish it off even if they needed 20 runs in an over. Simultaneously, I was confident that my bowling attack could match that of any Super Kings player. knew that, despite his lack of aggression on the field, one must outplay him tactically on all fronts and that he would not give up. When playing Chennai, you know you are losing till the very last ball is bowled, according to Gambhir.
