Rahul Dravid, the head coach, will be joining the Indian team before its eagerly anticipated Asia Cup opener against Pakistan on Sunday after testing negative for COVID-19.
The batsman Dravid, who had tested positive for the virus in a routine test before the squad left for the continental championship, has totally recovered.
After testing positive, the former captain of India didn’t travel with the team, and the BCCI named NCA head VVS Laxman as interim coach for India.
Dravid has been in home isolation ever since the test he took on August 23 came back positive.
