Will MS Dhoni wear the Chennai Super Kings jersey again next season, this time as captain? Every cricket fan has been left speculating, with the ‘Thala’ unwilling to clarify whether he intends to play beyond this season. As the Chennai Super Kings qualified for their 12th playoff appearance in 14 seasons, his future beyond the IPL 2023 season remains unknown. However, in prior seasons, Dhoni himself came up to provide an update on his plans. However, no such update has been provided by the 41-year-old this season.
Despite not being the prolific finisher he has been for the most of his career, Dhoni has done enough with the bat to remain an important component for CSK. His leadership and wicket-keeping abilities remain unrivalled, but as a batsman, Dhoni has made a few appearances, batting low in the order.
