On Friday, Jasprit Bumrah, the prominent fast bowler from India, shared a sweet photo of himself and his spouse Sanjana Ganesan on social media. The picture made people on the internet happy since it showed Bumrah and Ganesan grinning and having a wonderful moment together. “Happiness is here,” Bumrah captioned the picture, adding a heart emoji alongside it. “You guys are the cutest,” one of your fans commented. One more user said, “We love you so much.” Among the remarks were, “Jaspreet Bumrah and Sanjana kitna pyaari jodi hai yaar (How good this couple looks!).”
The only batter from India to have previously occupied the top spot in the ICC rankings across all three forms is Virat Kohli. Australians Ricky Ponting and Matthew Hayden are the other two hitters who have accomplished this. Ponting is really the only player to hold the top spot on the rankings tables in all three formats at the same time.
But what really sets Bumrah apart is that no bowler has ever been able to match his level of brilliance across all three game formats. Even if it’s debatable whether players like Glenn McGrath, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and others were able to play in the T20 era, Bumrah’s ability to perform at these high levels of difficulty in cricket demonstrates the amount of work he has put in to become so adaptable.
