The BCCI confirmed on Monday, February 13, that the third Border-Gavaskar Test will be held in Indore. As previously reported, the Test had to be moved out of Dharamsala because the venue was deemed unfit after an inspection by the BCCI.
“Due to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will require some time to develop fully,” the BCCI stated as the reason for the venue change in a statement.
The series schedule remains unchanged, with Indore hosting the Test from March 1 to 5. The stadium has already hosted two Test matches, with India hosting New Zealand in 2016 and Bangladesh in 2019.
India currently leads the series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Nagpur. The second Test is set to begin on February 17 in New Delhi.
