Anish made his debut with a spectacular 5 points from 11 games at the 1st All Bengal Rapid Rating Open 2024. A few weeks later, Anish had the amazing chance to compete in a quick rating competition against Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi, the best player in India and the fourth-ranked player in the world.Despite his original ineligibility, he was able to participate as a substitute due to a last-minute opening. Anish’s journey was accelerated by this fortunate event, which exposed him to elite competition and stoked his desire to obtain his first official rating.
After his encounter with Erigaisi, Anish faced another formidable obstacle at the West Bengal State Under-9 Open Rating 2024, where he placed 24th out of 140 competitors with a remarkable 5.5 out of 8.
