The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season will go off on Friday night at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium. And with celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, AR Rahman, and Sonu Nigam scheduled to perform, it appears like the star-studded opening ceremony will be the buzz of the town.
Chennai Super Kings vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be the first game. The toss has been rescheduled from 7:00 PM IST to 7:30 PM IST due to the opening ceremony, with the first innings scheduled to start at 8:00 PM IST. At 6:30 PM IST, the IPL 2024 opening ceremony will begin.
Numerous celebrities and lots of entertainment are expected during the IPL 2024 opening ceremony. Apart from Bollywood music, AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam will perform to patriotic numbers, a source disclosed to Hindustan Times.
“The entire show, including Akshay and Tiger’s performance, will be about 30 minutes,” the insider stated, providing context for the length of the opening ceremony. Together, Sonu and Rahman will also perform a few Bollywood favorites. In addition, a never-before-seen AR (Augmented Reality) technology display will be a highlight of the opening ceremony, the statement continues.
