In Zimbabwe’s 4th 20 International, Shubman Gill chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Avesh Khan was substituted in the playing XI by Tushar Deshpande, who made his debut for India.

When Tushar Deshpande played his first Twenty20 international match for India, he was given his debut cap. The 4th Twenty20 International, scheduled for Saturday, July 13, at the Harare Sports Club, would see the pacer take Avesh Khan’s spot in the starting lineup. With just one alteration made to the side, India’s batting order stayed the same. on the fourth T20I, Deshpande will partner Khaleel Ahmed on seam bowling duties.

It appears to be a new wicket. The quick bowlers ought to have something in there. We need to plug the fact that we have given up far too many runs in the last few overs. They scored 150 when they were 50 or so for five, so we assumed we had become complacent. Shubman Gill said during the toss that Deshpande would be making his debut instead of Avesh Khan.

In front of his spouse, Deshpande accepted his 115th T20I cap for his country. India did not address the function of the fifth bowler and instead focused on the four-bowling possibilities. The squad decided to go with four openers in the top half of the order.

“We wanted to bat first. The wicket tends to get slower and slower. We’ve got a vision for 2026, the only way to get better is quality game time. Hopefully our top-three can click. Our idea is for all three departments to perform. The boys are hungry. Wellington Masakadaza misses out. Faraz Akram comes in,” Sikander Raza said.
