India will compete against Australia in the U19 World Cup final. Prior to it, India captain Uday Saharan was questioned about getting the senior team’s’revenge’.
Tom Straker’s brilliant six-wicket performance and Harry Dixon’s strong fifty helped Australia to a nail-biting one-wicket victory against a tenacious Pakistan in the U19 World Cup semifinal on Friday. The victory sets up an exciting final match versus defending champions India in Benoni. The championship match will be a rematch of Australia’s victory against India in Ahmedabad last year in the senior men’s ODI World Cup, which saw Australia win their sixth title. In 2023, the Australians caused the Indian squad two heartaches in addition to defeating Rohit Sharma’s team in the World Test Championship final.
But Uday Saharan, the captain of the India U19 team, doesn’t think about getting even; he thinks his team will just concentrate on its own game and not dwell too much on the past.
Saharan reportedly stated, “I am not thinking anything like that,” according to press reports.
“We have to give it our all and are concentrating on our game. We are playing in accordance with the rules of the game. Because it’s the World Cup and every team is strong, every game matters.
India, the current champions, have won all of the matches they have played in this edition of the event, keeping a spotless record. During the competition, they won all of their matches by substantial margins, facing few difficulties up until their close victory over the hosts, South Africa, by two wickets in the semifinals.
