Aaron represented India in nine Test matches and an equal number of One Day Internationals, capturing 29 wickets in both competitions. He played his final Test match for India nine years ago against South Africa.

In a social media statement on Friday, Indian bowler Varun Aaron declared his retirement from all forms of cricket. For twenty years, the thrill of fast bowling has been my life’s passion. I formally announce my retirement from representative cricket today, with great appreciation,” Aaron posted on Instagram.

Aaron praised the BCCI and the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, his state team, in his message. Additionally, he thanked the National Cricket Academy’s instructors, trainers, and physiotherapists.

Aaron took 29 wickets in nine Test matches and an equal number of One Day Internationals while playing for India. Nine years ago, he played his final Test match for India against South Africa.

After Jharkhand’s elimination from the present Vijay Hazare Trophy, the 35-year-old, who had declared his retirement from red-ball cricket last year, also called it quits on his white-ball career.

He expressed gratitude to everyone who had contributed to his athletic career, including his teammates, coaches, family, and friends.

I’m looking forward to enjoying life’s little pleasures and maintaining a close relationship with the game that has given me everything while I say goodbye to a passion that has entirely absorbed me. Fast bowling was my first love, and even if I no longer play, it will always be a part of my identity.
