There could be a significant change in the Gujarat Titans support staff prior to IPL 2025.

Ashish Nehra, the head coach of the Gujarat Titans, and Vikram Solanki, the director of cricket, are expected to depart the team before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Both Nehra and Solanki have been a part of the team since their winning season in 2022, when they were still in the running for the title, and their subsequent final appearance in 2023.

Although no decision has been made officially, it is rumored that Yuvraj Singh is in the running to become a member of the Gujarat Titans coaching staff. Given that the team’s mentor, Gary Kirsten, left to take a full-time position with the Pakistan cricket team, it’s logical to assume that there will be a lot of changes in the backroom staff.

Other coaches in the setup include Aashish Kapoor, Naeem Amin, Narender Negi, and Mithun Manhas; some of these may be looking into coaching other teams as well. With one title and a final under their belt, GT had an incredible start to the 2024 Indian Premier League. However, under new captain Shubman Gill, they had a disappointing season, finishing in eighth place. After Hardik Pandya joined the Mumbai Indians, GT had trouble assembling a lineup that worked, while Mohammed Shami’s injury kept him out of the lineup. The Gujarat Titans will have an exciting few weeks ahead of them as they are expected to finalize their coaching staff.
