Vinod Kambli, a former Indian cricketer, is claimed to be improving but will likely remain in the hospital for a long time.

Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli appears to have avoided the danger, but he is not yet ready to leave the hospital. After his health worsened, the cricket player had to be admitted to a Thane hospital. The former Indian celebrity is reportedly doing “fine” at the moment. Important hospital updates have been shared by his friend Marcus Couto. The former cricket player is currently feeling better, but Couto has requested that the hospital keep him there for approximately a month, especially since someone else has agreed to pay for his medical expenses.”Kambli is fine now. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday for a urinary infection. I met him at the hospital today,” Couto told the Times of India from Mumbai. “I told them to treat him at the hospital for a month because he has many health issues. Since someone is willing to spend money on his treatment, why not?” Couto added. “We always had a cricketing image of sir (Vinod Kambli) in our mind. So, it inspired us that sir needs us and so,Kambli also thanked the hospital’s medical staff for ‘keeping him alive’.
“I am alive because of this doctor… All I would say is that I will do whatever sir (referring to the doctor) asks me to. People will see the inspiration that I’ll give them,” he said.

One of his fans, who also owns the hospital in Bhiwandi’s Kalher area in Thane, took the 52-year-old to the hospital; the reason for his hospitalization is still unknown. Kambli, who played 17 Test matches and 104 One-Day Internationals for India between 1993 and 2000, made his first public appearance in a long time when he and Sachin Tendulkar attended the inauguration of the memorial for legendary coach Ramakant Achrekar at Shivaji Park.
