In the opening IPL 2024 match between CSK and RCB, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli will square off.
The star batter for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season opener, Virat Kohli, stated that it would be “good” to catch up with the legendary MS Dhoni. In the history of the IPL, Kohli has scored the most runs. With a strike rate of 130.02 and an average of 37.24, the Indian batsman has amassed 7263 runs in 237 games and 229 innings. 113 is his greatest score. Over his IPL career, he has amassed 50 fifties and seven hundreds, the most of any hitter.
Kohli stated that he hasn’t seen Dhoni in a “while” on a recent episode of RCB’s Bold Diaries.
The legendary Chepauk Stadium would be “nice” to play in front of the “passionate” CSK fans, according to the former captain of India. Additionally, he mentioned that the IPL 2024 season opener will be a “big game”.
“Obviously, it’s always an important game and a memorable event to play against Chennai. As they say, the Southern Derby, you know. Yes, it’s great to play in front of the fervent Chennai supporters, and it’s great to see MS Dhoni again after a long absence,” Kohli remarked.
