In contrast, Kohli arrived in Chennai straight from an early morning trip from London.
On Thursday, players such as KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batter, and India’s pace leader Jasprit Bumrah had already arrived in the city.
After a much-needed vacation of over a month, the players are back on the field and will be looking to move past the disappointment of losing the ODI series against Sri Lanka in August and swiftly resume their winning ways under new coach Gautam Gambhir.
It will be intriguing to watch how Rohit’s squad plays against a Bangladeshi team that is on a high after winning their Test series 2-0 over Pakistan. This will be India’s first Test match under Gambhir and his new support staff.
