On Sunday, India’s star batsman Virat Kohli became the first team in T20 history to reach 11,000 runs.
At the second Twenty20 International against South Africa on Sunday at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Kohli accomplished this achievement. Virat became the T20 player to score 11,000 runs in the fewest number of games (354), in the game, after hitting 19 runs.
To accomplish this milestone, Kohli blasted an incredible six over long off in Wayne Parnell’s delivery. With that six in Parnell’s over, Kohli officially entered T20 history, becoming the first Indian team to reach 11,000 runs.
Throughout the game, Kohli showed his class. Suryakumar’s stunning shots briefly captured everyone’s attention, but Kohli made his presence felt by hitting some impressive smashes in the park.
