A nearly seven-year-old video of Virat Kohli has resurfaced, in which he says, “Do I look like the pooja-path types?” in response to a reporter’s question.

Virat Kohli, who is not playing in India’s current T20I series against New Zealand, will next be seen in action at the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which begins on February 9. Kohli was named to the playing XI for the one-day international series against New Zealand, which concluded on January 24. During the break, the India actor reportedly paid a visit to the Swami Dayanand Giri Ashram in Rishikesh with his wife Anushka Sharma and their daughter Vamika. While several photos and videos from the visit have circulated online, a seven-year-old video of Virat Kohli has resurfaced in which he says, “Do I look like the pooja-path types?” in response to a reporter’s question.

The resurfaced video is from a press conference held during the 2016 T20 World Cup. Kohli discussed people’s perceptions of him at the time in the same clip.

“It surprises me because a lot about myself was initially incorrect. I have tattoos, I like to dress stylishly, and so on.

“It is very easy to focus on those things (the negative stuff), but very difficult to improve your skills on the daily basis, without thinking about the result too much. My basic thinking is that if I go into a practise session, I want to learn something and improve. “I want to be a better cricketer after each practise session, even if it’s only by 0.1 percent.”
