Washington Freedom won the championship final at Grand Prairie Stadium by a commanding 96 runs against the San Francisco Unicorns, showcasing their impressive power hitting and calculated bowling to claim the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 trophy. With Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell leading the way, Freedom set a daunting goal of 208, which the Unicorns were unable to meet in the Sunday game. The Unicorns were instantly at a disadvantage, needing a good start.Jake Fraser-McGurk (3) was removed early in the third over, while Finn Allen (13), who made a century in the qualifier, was removed by Marco Jansen (3/28), who dealt a significant blow.
