While explaining the incident, Gambhir said, “Whatever is shown on social media is not always the true picture, as people can show whatever they want to. In the viral video, the truth is that when you raise anti-India’ slogans and chant bad things about my country, India, and say bad things about Kashmir, then anyone will react like this only, and he will not just laugh and ignore these things.”
Gautam Gambhir also added, “There were two-three Pakistani people in the crowd who were chanting anti-India slogans and were talking ill about India and Kashmir. My reaction came naturally, as I cannot tolerate anything bad being said about my country. If somebody is personally abusing me, then what do you expect? I walk back, smiling. I am not that kind of person; I know how to give it back.
