As Rohit Sharma’s India placed a lot of pressure on the visitors towards the end of the series, McCullum told the media that they lost confidence. “We really became more cautious as the series progressed, and that was due to the pressure the Indian lineup put on us—not just when it came to the ball. They really put us under strain with the bat, too,” McCullum was quoted by news sources as saying.
During the five-match Test series against the Indian team, the head coach continued, “they were exposed.”

The former batter for New Zealand acknowledged that, following their defeat to India in the Test series, England has to improve in a few areas.

After winning by a small margin in Hyderabad, England lost their next four games in the series, failing to build on their early 1-0 lead. India prevailed on both occasions despite the visitors having their opportunities, particularly in Rajkot and Ranchi.
In the five-match Test series, India defeated England 4-1. By defeating the English team by an innings and 64 runs in the fifth and final game, the hosts completed a spectacular victory.
