The Indian women’s hockey team has advanced appropriately, according to star striker Vandana Katariya, and the players have continued to be focused on creating and attaining goals moving forward.
Veteran of over 250 international games, Vandana claimed that thanks to recent improvements in tournament results, the world is now paying attention to Indian women’s hockey.
The fact that multiple Indian players were nominated for FIH Star Awards is evidence of the team’s growth. Savita, the team captain, is up for Best Goalkeeper of the Year, Mumtaz Khan, a teenage player, is up for Rising Star of the Year, and head coach Janneke Schopman is up for Coach of the Year.
