Women’s T20 World Cup 2023, Match 3: Australia-W vs New Zealand-W Match Prediction: Who will win today’s match?

Australia has won four of their last five T20Is against New Zealand and is favoured to win this match.

Australia women (AUS-W) will face New Zealand women (NZ-W) in the third match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 on Saturday at Boland Park in Paarl (February 11). As part of their preparation for the mega tournament, Australia, the current no. 1 T20I team and reigning champions, defeated India 1-4 and Pakistan 0-2 in their last two T20I series.

They defeated India again in the first warm-up game while defending only 129 runs, but were defeated by Ireland in the second warm-up game despite scoring 168 runs.

New Zealand last played Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series at home in December 2022, winning all three matches with impressive all-round performances. They recently defeated the West Indies but failed to replicate similar results in the major tournaments in 2022.

Suzie Bates, who may have played in her final T20 World Cup, has been in excellent form recently, and her performances, along with those of captain Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr, will be critical for the White Ferns in this World Cup.

AUS-W vs NZ-W Match Details:

Australia Women vs New Zealand Women, 3rd Match, Group A, Women’s World Cup Cricket 2023

Venue: Boland Park, Paarl

Date & Time: February 11, 10:30 PM IST

Pitch Report:

The pitch at Boland Park in Paarl is well-balanced. The venue’s average first innings score in Women’s T20s is 155, with pacers getting a lot of help in recent games. If Australia bats first on Saturday, they are likely to post a large total here, but chasing will be easier for both teams in the evening games.
