The 13th iteration of the competition will be officiated by sixteen referees, including all 12 of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and four members of the ICC Emerging Umpire Panel.
Only Aleem Dar is absent from the experienced list; he resigned from the Elite Panel in March of this year. The experienced list contains three of the four umpires that were appointed for the World Cup 2019 final at Lord’s: Dharmasena, Erasmus, and Tucker.
Four former international cricket players from the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, namely Jeff Crowe, Andy Pycroft, Richie Richardson, and Javagal Srinath, will be in attendance.
On October 5 in Ahmedabad, Srinath will oversee the opening game of the tournament between England and New Zealand, the winners of the last recent competition. Paul Wilson will serve as the TV umpire, Menon and Dharmasena will serve as the standing umpires, while Saikat will serve as the fourth umpire.
The selections for the semi-finals and championship game will be made in due time, however the officials have already been picked for the rest of the League portion.
